Anchorage

Anchorage is located in eastern Jefferson County located about 20 minutes away from downtown Louisville. Part of the city of Anchorage is designated as the Anchorage Historic District and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, who also designed Louisville’s park system and many other areas in Louisville, Anchorage is known for its large grand country estates, historic homes, newer upscale single-family housing, K-8 school, stone bridges, quaint historic downtown, and shade trees. There are few condominium or apartment options in Anchorage, however, there are areas adjacent to the city that do offer these options.
